Hayden's nemesis: the tabloids - plus S3 talk

From Malaysian newspaper The New Straits Times:

ON Heroes, she plays a cheerleader who discovers she’s invincible. Away from the cameras, though, Hayden Panettiere is more vulnerable.

Hounded by the tabloid Press, the 19-year-old has been hurt by questions about her personal life and had her ego bruised by spiteful journalists.

“The writers can be so judgmental and cruel,” she reflects. “They always have to say something mean. You open these magazines and find that I’m reported to have said this or that, and I’m thinking, ‘That never came out of my mouth!’”

Podcast: Kevin and Bean interview Milo

Audio content from the World Famous KROQ's inexplicably popular Kevin & Bean morning show based in Los Angeles. Today (Tuesday, Oct. 28), they interviewed Milo Ventimiglia.

Making friends at Golden Apple: a report

There are two things that I love about many of the cast and crew of Heroes: their interest in other projects in addition to the show and their accessibility to the fans. Milo himself in this last year alone has made at least half a dozen appearances at fan-related events, including events in England and Australia. Out of the appearances Milo has made on the West Coast, his Saturday appearance at Golden Apple with Tim Sale proved to be one of the most intimate. It was just going to be Milo, Tim, and the fans.

Signing report: Milo at Golden Apple 10/25

One of the coolest things about living outside of LA is being able to make special day events, such as Milo's and Tim Sale's signing at the world famous Golden Apple comic book store. The pair appeared to promote Milo's new comic book Rest. This makes the first book to be produced by Milo's and Russ Cundiff's company, DiVide Productions, and is published by Devil's Due.

Despite being a comic book fan for over fifteen years, and having heard stories from my dad about Golden Apple, a comic book store that was in Hollywood and therefore had to be better than all others--except for maybe Garden Grove's Mile High Comics--this was my first visit. And what a visit it was!

Look back here later today for a full report of my adventure, with pictures!

Exclusive! 10/26 Interview with Tim Sale

Things in the Heroesverse are... unexpected sometimes, and it just happened to work out that I was able to grab a phone interview earlier today with Heroes artist Tim Sale. Best known for his illustrations that became the "Isaac Mendez paintings" and other promotional Season 1 art, Tim has done more work this season than in the first, including the new "Usutu paintings" in Africa.

The interview will be transcribed and put up as soon as possible. Watch this space and tell your friends!

Milo on being a lifelong vegetarian

Ah, a topic near and dear to my heart! In this blog entry and attached video of the Bonnie Hunt interview, Milo talks about being a lifelong vegetarian.

Video interview: Milo on Rest and Game

What, no Heroes? Not in this video interview from Yahoo!7 Australia. But what Milo does cover is the graphic novel "Rest" and a very interesting project called "Game."

Arthur Petrelli Speaks! Good interview with Zap2it

Arthur Petrelli may be flat on his back in a hospital bed, only able to speak by using some sort of mental telepathy or appearing in the prophetic dreams of Company honcho Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose), but on the Heroes set in August, actor Robert Forster is upright and speaking normally.
