Tim Kring: Up Close and Personal
He's surprisingly soft-spoken and unassuming for someone who recently had the greatest superpower of all at his fingertips: The ability to create and destroy the world with the tapping of a few keystrokes. Tim Kring, the creator and showrunner of the NBC hit series Heroes, spoke on and off the record with House Petrelli recently at Comic-Con San Diego, and that two hours was filled with insight, and no small amount of nostalgia. One of his biggest concerns was the ongoing misconceptions surrounding his love for the show, and his involvement in it. Some have been saying that he hasn't cared about the show since the end of season one, but not only is that not the case, statements like that hurt him deeply.
"You could ask my family about how they didn't ever see me," he said, concern evident in his eyes. "It was a brand as well as a show. It was a big machine in terms of publicity, and I had to float in different areas -- the writer's room, the set, various departments, doing interviews... A show needs a single voice, obviously, and as it went on that became more difficult."

Peter attended Comic-Con this year, which ran from July 22 through the 25th. Though he didn't stay the whole con, Peter got to meet some very important people!!Comic-Con 2010: Wow.
Just got in from an overly-long drive back from San Diego (over eight hours) and I'm exhausted. But I wanted to do a very short update and let you know that multiple articles are coming soon.
Obviously the big scoop of the event for us was our exclusive interview with Tim Kring. But what happened went far beyond our expectations in a lot of ways. We thought we'd get an hour if we were lucky... and we ended up with three.
We'll be doing two articles as a result -- A transcript-style article as our interviews usually are, but I'm going to write one that's more about my experiences, because this interview was truly something.... extraordinary.
