Friend of the House, David H. Lawrence XVII, talks about what he would have liked The Puppetmaster to do, had the series continued:

Wendy and Lisa at the Composer's Panel, Comic-Con, 2010

Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman attended the Behind the Music panel at San Diego Comic-Con, 2010!

Comic-Con 2010: Wow.

Just got in from an overly-long drive back from San Diego (over eight hours) and I'm exhausted. But I wanted to do a very short update and let you know that multiple articles are coming soon.

Obviously the big scoop of the event for us was our exclusive interview with Tim Kring. But what happened went far beyond our expectations in a lot of ways. We thought we'd get an hour if we were lucky... and we ended up with three.

We'll be doing two articles as a result -- A transcript-style article as our interviews usually are, but I'm going to write one that's more about my experiences, because this interview was truly something.... extraordinary.

Lisa Coleman at WonderCon

With the room filled to standing room only and then some, the WonderCon panel "Setting the Score: Composing for Film & Television" consisted of Heroes' own Lisa Coleman, Jim Dooley of Pushing Daisies (and dozens of other credits), and Jeremy Zuckerman and Benjamin Wynn of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Of course, we were there primarily to hear what Lisa had to say about Heroes (Wendy was unable to attend due to a family emergency), but the whole panel was a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at how composing and sound design is crafted for a television show, sometimes under insane deadlines.

Moderated by Anne Cecere - Director of Film/TV Relations of BMI, the panelists will include Wendy Melvoin, Lisa Coleman, Jim Dooley, Jeremy Zuckerman and Benjamin Wynn.

Comic-Con Heroes Party at House of Blues

The Good News: The wonderful folks at Heroes All Access have stepped up and (with help from the House, of course) have provided us with the chance of a lifetime--the First Annual Heroes All Access party at the House of Blues in San Diego.  Details follow.

From the red carpet of the Saturns

I’ve been to a couple of red carpets, but none like this one. First, I have never been press before. And the longer we were there, the better that felt. Second, the number of press people was so small. There were only between thirty and forty of us altogether. This number included those of us who were interviewing, videotaping, and taking photography. It had a very laid back atmosphere that I was unaccustomed to at an event.

The first Heroes actor I met on the red carpet was our Queen herself, Cristine Rose. By way of Wendi the Makeup Lady’s Twitter, I had heard that Cris would be presenting with Jack Coleman. Let me tell you one thing: it is always a special treat to see Cristine. She’s evanescent, joyful, and eager to converse.

Much, much more below the fold!
